Blues City Brawl is a doubles tournament which uses the Kings of War 4th edition rules found in the Mantic Companion. Each player will bring an army with a maximum force total of 1250 points adhering to the rules of army composition as detailed in the player pack.

Blues City Brawl 8 will be held March 7-8, 2026 at the Meddlesome Brewing Company in Memphis, Tennessee. We recommend registering as early as possible due to limited available space.

Registration is $30 per player, or $60 per team. To register, please send all payments to chris@gibney.net via PayPal. Full refunds are available until February 1st, 2026.

Each team should consist of two 1,250 point army lists plus a bonus 40mm Brawler model. All army lists are to be turned in by February 23rd, 2026. For details on accepted army lists and where to submit, please refer to the player pack linked below for details.

All the normal army selection rules apply except:

Allies are not allowed for this event, they don’t exist anymore and you already have a teammate.

Magic items and Arcane Library spells may only be taken once per TEAM. If your Army has access to a Unique Spell, it may be taken but only once per TEAM. 

Each TEAM is allowed only one Unique Unit entry [U] to be chosen in their combined force.

Each ARMY may only use one battalion for unlocks, and otherwise follow the battalion structure detailed in the rulebook.

This year, we’re asking folks to build their own brawler! They are treated as a member of your unified army as listed above. This model will be on a 40mm base (no exceptions!) and will count as an additional Warlord (i.e. rolls 3 Command Dice) with access to choose from either lists’ commands to cast. They start off with a base profile, and depending on the Brawler chosen, will receive additional rules or modifications based on their personal flavor.
